The Developers

In 1992, Fran and Anthony Del Spina acquired title to large tracts of land on the shores of Lake Cumberland. The Del Spinas recognized the potential of the land and planned a development, designed to appeal to people who wanted a quiet place in a natural setting where they could enjoy the lake, the beauty of mother nature and the solitude of like-minded people. To serve this end the Del Spinas worked with the Army Corps of Engineers, the Daniel Boone National Forest, the Pulaski Fiscal Court and the State of Kentucky to gain approval to build this planned development which is now designated as "A Bit of Heaven on Earth".
The covenants that the Del Spinas recorded with their platted subdivision were designed to protect the character of their development and preserve the natural beauty of the land. Those covenants included such things as minimum restrictions of the size structure of a home, approval requirements of the Association prior to tree cutting and type of design of building depending on the specific neighborhood. The Del Spina incorporate angelic names to their streets like Paradise Lane, Serenity Court, and Majestic Drive to convey to those seeking quiet natural solitude, the philosophy upon which this planned community was to be built. The Del Spinas resides on the premises and continue to orchestrate the project to see that their vision and the Resort's philosophy never changes.
